You always have the people who will say "yo bro how much can you bench?" and I usually respond with "how many 1-arm pushups can you do?"! - 🎸That's not to toot my own toot or anything, but the point is a lot of people forget about bodyweight movement and how, before you even think of benching, you better be able to do some pushups! Not one or two, but a good set! - 🎸You have to be able to synergistically coordinate your body and control the movement before putting on plates and moving a bar up and down! That's how injuries occur and believe me, they will! - 🎸Pushups also have the benefit of progressions! You can make them as hard or easy as you want! As much as we try to ignore the thought of friends, families or even strangers, they do exist and linger around us. One of the most opinionated topics in society is that of food (dieting, choices etc.) . In my opinion, a lot of it is down to lack of education. Unfortunately to be blunt, most people know f*** all about nutrition. Because of this, we now have a huge mixing pot of information, and those seeking actual help don't know where to find the truth. This is why I make it my mission to educate all my online coaching clients and you guys reading this . One of the most screwed up views of society is displayed in this infographic. Unfortunately, (and I've had this personally myself for most my life and I'm sure some of you have too) when you eat nutritious, healthy foods you're automatically thought of as being on a diet. However, if you eat 'normal' food (basically junk food) it's deemed ok by society . πŸ₯Why do I bring this up? I'm making the point to those of you yet to start your journey, or those currently in the early stages. You're going to come across negativity from others.
