Partaking in some #flexfriday action, you may be fooled into thinking flexfriday and flashbackfriday are the same thing so many people only ever post the pics when they are looking at their best and shredded which gives the wrong impression to people who are new to fitness. #FlexFriday It’s Fri-YaYYYYY 💪💪

There’s a lot I didn’t expect. I didn’t expect to miss home like I do. I had a job. A nice house. Awesome parents around. Great friends in the same time zone as me. My boy tye by my side. It was comfortable and it was simple. Real life isn’t easy, if I was doing a year abroad here it would be easier, automatically thrown into social situations where you are bound to make a friend or two. Something to do and place to go on the daily even if it is university. But I’m not, I’ve gotta go job hunting, I have to throw myself into social situations which as an adult is kinda scary. Going to CrossFit last night put me at ease, a group of people with similar interests. And going to the food market with a bunch of people made me remember that I can actually be kinda funny and I can make friends. But one thing I have learnt is that the pressure I put myself under to get a job, to find a home, to make loads of friends in the first week was probably unnecessary because it’s not that easy. Things don’t click into place like asking someone at nursery if you can borrow the blue crayon, they say yes and you’re instantly best friends for life. In life sometimes you have to take a step back, look at the bigger picture and remember that all things take time. Training. Life. Jobs. Relationships. They need time. So take your time to appreciate what you have. Take your time to evaluate where you need to be. And take your time getting there. Have an awesome Friday 🧡
