Well, here I am, eating ice-cream for supper while watching my favorite show on Netflix. Yep, you heard me correctly...ice-cream for supper! Anyone ever have these days, too? Or is it just me..
We are going to have these kinds of days when we eat unhealthy comfort food and choose watching Netflix or taking a nap over going to the gym to get a workout in; we will also have days when we DO eat a balanced diet and fit in a good high calorie burn workout. Guess what, THIS IS ALL OK! We can’t always be perfect, eat perfect, workout everyday, never feel stressed, have the “perfect body”, always have motivation, etc. etc. (news flash: THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS PERFECT!) This took me a long time to realize, and I’m still working on it, because lets be honest, it ain’t easy! (yeah yeah, “ain’t ain’t a word and it ain’t in the dictionary— lol flashback to middle school) Our society today is constantly trying to tell/show us what “perfect” is/looks like and portraying an unrealistic lifestyle at times (I’ll save this topic for a later date- I could go on for a while)
Anyways, my point is, BALANCE IS KEY! Without balance, we will constantly be stressing over the times we missed going to the gym to hit up ‘happy hour’ with some friends, or having waffles and bacon for breakfast instead of having egg whites and berries, or treating yourself to a fresh manicure instead of saving the money, etc. Balance, balance, balance!
I created this account to not only help myself with embracing this concept, but you, my fellow instagram followers as well. My hope is that we can then help each other live our best and happiest lives through balance!
Thanks for reading my post! I promise not all of them will be this long. Peace!
