„There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen!“ RUMI ———————
Learning how to be still in meditation can be such a wonderful experience for the mind and body. But often it also seems a very hard task to perform. ———————
It sound like such an easy thing to do. Just sit still and don’t think of anything. Only problem is when you tell the mind not to do something it often wants to do the exact opposite. This mind of ours has his own agenda and wants to do the things that feel familiar and safe. ———————
Sitting still and in silence is not something that we do very often in our busy lives and thats why it can often feel very uncomfortable, when we want to start meditating.
However the best way to start a meditation practice is to start slow and gently. 5 min spent in the morning is enough time to really get the benefits of meditation. All you have to do is sit and focus on your breath. When thoughts arise, you don’t need to try push them away just observe them and try not to judge them or label them as good or bad thoughts. Just acknowledge them and breath deeply.
I started my meditation journey some time last year and through it I have come to understand and listen to Gods small voice in a much more meaningful way. Some people might not call it Gods voice, they might call it rather an intuition. To me this means the same. Intuition is Gods way of communicating with us through love and understanding. And the great thing about intuition is that it is tailor made for each and everyone of us, which give us permission and the freedom to live the life we want to live.
