That guy there on the left looking like Sasquatch, or Patrik Laine from the Winnipeg Jets (seriously look it up) yeah that's me a little over a year ago. You're prolly wondering how I got into that situation looking like a dumpster fire. ♂️ Well. Around that time I probably wasn't in the best state mentally with the stresses of moving back home. I definitely wasn't in the best shape physically even though I was "working out", but of course I was eating like garbage.
Last September was a rough month, but that month I decided to make a change physically, mentally, and also become a better person in the process.
That month I weighed at 205, looking and feeling like and absolute mess. The first thing I had to address were my eating habits. Knowing what I know now about nutrition and how to eat the right things for your body and activity level, after week 2 I lost 8 pounds.
Ever since then I've only had fast food a handful of times. Now, don't get me wrong, I still go and enjoy a burger, eat blue bell ice cream, and eat a ton of hi-chew (amazing Japanese candy) but I only do that in moderation. ♂️ Physically, I took baby steps doing tedious exercises to correct movements and prevent injuries. Today if you see me in the gym I'm often doing deadlifts, I wouldn't be doing them today if it wasn't for the little things.
I apologize if this is too long, but long story short I'm currently at 175 (was low as 170), eating tons of carbs, and I'm actually proud of my damn self for once. I did my best to post the "process" photos of my journey so far. But I hope to encourage others to take the first step at bettering themselves in order to live a long life!
